This season even a full-strength Liverpool side may struggle away to Arsenal, who have responded to their defeat by Aston Villa in early December with a five-game winning run in the Premier League. They exacted revenge on Villa in their most recent clash at the Emirates Stadium, hammering them 4-1, and the Gunners have taken 28 points from a possible 30 at home in the league this season. Known in the early stages of the season for their defensive resolve, Arsenal have looked increasingly dangerous going forward recently and they look a solid bet to win a match featuring at least three goals at 5/4. Liverpool’s defence has been creaking all season, with Ibrahima Konate especially prone to errors, and the fact they have conceded a joint-high 13 goals from set-pieces in the Premier League does not bode well against an Arsenal team who are so effective from free-kicks and corners. One way or another, Arsenal should find a way through Liverpool in what could be a high-scoring contest in north London.
